The new 2012 Honda Accord moves the world of traditional transport in the sense of refined, dynamic and sophisticated with a wider range of innovative technologies designed for more power, greater efficiency and enhanced safety across the entire range of sedans and coupes.
Completely redesigned for 2012 with increased dimensions for a more spacious interior, sedan-style theme expresses a powerful presence with sharp lines and strong character. A provision of 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine producing 268 horsepower - the highest ever for any agreement - while introducing a new generation of fuel-saving Variable Cylinder Management ™ (VCM ®) technology and achieving a partial zero emission vehicle (PZEV) rating. VCM system operates in six-cylinder power mode and 4 - and 3-cylinder modes for efficiency, resulting in an EPA city / highway fuel economy of 19/29 miles per gallon.

The largest indoor Accord Sedan total volume of 120.0 cubic feet (3.3 cubic feet compared to 2007) moves the EPA classification from the midsize sedan class to the class of large sedans. ChassisA performance-inspired double wishbone front suspension and a multilink suspension at the rear is designed to provide the dynamics of world-class chassis. The Accord Sedan wheelbase of 110.2 inches is 2.3 inches longer than the 2007 model, while 62.2-inch front / rear track is 1.1 and 1.0 inches wide, respectively. The Accord Coupe wheelbase of 107.9 inches is 2.8 inches longer than the 2007 model (track is identical to the Sedan). Finally, the suspension design with wider tire sizes, standard ABS and Vehicle Stability Assist is intended to enhance driver confidence and handling.
2012-Accord Sedan also comes standard with steel wheels with covers 16-inch or 16 aluminum wheels or 17 inch depending on model. (The Accord Coupe is equipped with aluminum wheels 17-inch standard aluminum wheels with 18 inch available on the Coupe V-6). The 17-inch wheels are the first for a four-cylinder Accord and the Goblet of available 18-inch wheels are the largest ever for a Honda car.
